Adler Planetarium
- Description
Located on Lake Michigan and voted 'Best View of Chicago's Skyline,' the Adler
features the fully-restored Gemini 12 spacecraft flown by NASA astronauts
Jim Lovell and Buzz Aldrin. The capsule is the centerpiece of the Adler's
new permanent exhibit Shoot for the Moon, which highlights the exciting stories
of space exploration and America's bold plans to return to the Moon. Try out
your own Moon jump, test your lunar perception skills, or see the latest images
from NASA in the state-of-the-art interactive exhibition. America's first
planetarium, the Adler offers two unique planetarium experiences. Explore
Chicago's night sky and the mysteries of the constellations in the historic
Sky Theater or launch into the outer reaches of space in the all-digital StarRider
Theater, which is 55 feet wide and three stories tall. The Adler's astronomical
collection dates back to 12th-century Persia and includes one of the world's
oldest telescopes, real meteorites and over 400 sundials.

Arlington Park
- Description
Internationally acclaimed as one of racing's most beautiful settings, Arlington
Park hosted its inaugural meet in 1927 and re-opened its doors in 1989 after
a devastating fire engulfed the clubhouse four years earlier. Throughout its
more than 80 years of existence, Arlington Park has prided itself on playing
host to many of the sport's greatest moments and being a leader in Thoroughbred
racing. Live racing from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, September 27. Each
Friday during the season, Arlington hosts the Miller Lite Party in the Park
featuring live music by some of the areas most popular bands. Sunday features
Family Day activities including pony rides, petting zoo and face painters.

Chicago Childrens Museum

Chicago Children's Museum is the place where play and learning connect! Only

Chicago History Museum

The Chicago History Museum is a visitor's first stop in discovering the rich
and vibrant history of Chicago. Showcasing items from a 22 million-piece collection,
the Museum is also home to a world-renowned costume collection, as well as
artifacts from the life and presidency of Abraham Lincoln. The Museum features
an exhibition on Chicago history entitled 'Chicago: Crossroads of America'
which explores the legacy of Chicago's music, art, culture, commerce, politics,
and architecture. The Children's Gallery exhibition, 'Sensing Chicago,' enables

Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio Tour
- Description
This unusual complex served as Wright's private residence and studio for the
first 20 years of his career, 1889-1909. Wright used his home as an architectural
laboratory, trying out design concepts before sharing them with clients. Here,
he raised six children with his first wife, Catherine Tobin, and designed
such famous buildings as the Robie House, Larkin Building and Unity Temple.
The area surrounding the Home and Studio contains the world's largest concentration
of Wright-designed structures. With 25 of his buildings in the village, as
well as a rich selection of restored Prairie School and Victorian homes, Oak
Park is a virtual outdoor museum of architectural history. Guided museum tours
and self-guided audio neighborhood walks are available.

Frederick C. Robie House
- Description
Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House on the University of Chicago campus is the
most famous example of his Prairie School design, which was inspired by the
sweeping horizons of the Midwest. Considered an architectural masterpiece,
this quintessential Prairie house features horizontal planes, dramatic cantilevers,
and long ribbons of art glass windows. Designated by the American Institute
of Architects among the Top Ten Buildings of the 20th Century, the Robie House
remains a cornerstone of modern functional form. Tours by the Frank Lloyd
Wright Preservation Trust offer a firsthand experience of both its amazing
contemporary spaces and the current restoration work that is returning the
house to its original appearance. Note: Guided museum tours and self-guided

Kohl Childrens Museum of Greater Chicago

Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago is the only museum in the Chicago
area that exclusively provides exhibits and programming for ages birth to
8. All 17 permanent exhibits are hands-on and interactive. Shop in the child-sized
Dominick's grocery store, find your way through the Discovery Maze, cure stuffed
animals in the Pet Vet, make sandwiches in the play Potbelly Cafe, dance and
sing in Music Makers, and make a splash in Water Works. There are also four
baby play areas for infants and crawlers. Habitat Park, a secure outdoor exhibit
area with a sculpture trail and underground tunnel, offers seasonal programming.
The Museum features 200 free parking spots, a cafe and store, and is fully
accessible to all children, with any level of physical or cognitive ability.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, a giant indoor LEGO world designed for families

Streets of Woodfield shopping center. The attraction features activities ranging
from hands-on LEGO play to life-sized LEGO adventures designed to provide
several hours of family entertainment centered around the iconic interlocking
colored bricks. The 30,000-square-foot leisure destination combines LEGO model
building and unusual construction challenges with theme park-like attractions

- Description
Take a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel located next to the Lion House,

hanging around with the colorful replicas of baby gorillas, polar bears, wild
dogs and more. All aboard! Across from the Sea Lion Pool, kids can ride a

Shedd Aquarium

Shoreline Sightseeing Architectural River Cruise

Join Shoreline on an exciting journey touring the Chicago River and its architectural

This half-hour Skyline Boat Tour spans the entire panorama of Chicago's world
