Argosy Lakes Seattle Cruise
Description
Enjoy both Lake Union and Lake Washington on this two-hour live narrated cruise.
In recent decades Lake Union has undergone a transformation as shipyards and
maritime industry gives way to condos, restaurants, and parks. Houseboat communities
dot the eastern and western side of the lake, including the one used in the
film 'Sleepless in Seattle.' Cruise past kayakers as you keep an eye out for
the occasional bald eagle swooping against the backdrop of Mount Rainier. Lake
Washington is bordered by the multimillion-dollar homes of Seattle's rich and
famous. The lake is also a prime trout fishing location and has many popular

Bellevue Arts Museum
Description
Bellevue Arts Museum is a three-story, 36,000 square-foot museum designed by
internationally renowned architect Steven Holl. The Museum is the Pacific Northwest's
center for the exploration of the fine art of craft and design. In addition
to the fantastic array of rotating exhibits, visitors are always greeted by
featured art objects in Forum, which is free to the public. The exhibits feature
work in the mediums of fiber, clay, metal, glass, wood and jewelry by national,
international and regional crafts artists. The Museum offers many diverse educational

Blake Island Adventure Cruise
Description
Legend has it that Blake Island is the birthplace of Chief Seattle. This island
treasure is just 8 miles from the Seattle waterfront and offers visitors a chance
to hike, beachcomb, or camp between the old growth forest and the sandy saltwater
shores. The island's campsites offer a wonderful safe environment to introduce
the world of camping and hiking to children. The island is home to deer, mink,

Description
You don't have to bet the big money to enjoy a day at the races at Emerald Downs.
There's plenty of excitement even if you don't play the ponies at all, although

and Simulcasting is available year-round. The welcoming park offers wagering

Flying Heritage Collection
Description
The Flying Heritage Collection showcases rare military aircraft created when
the desperate demands of World War II sparked groundbreaking aeronautical discoveries.
Acquired by Paul G. Allen, the aircraft within the Collection have been painstakingly
restored and preserved, many to flying condition. Among the 15 aircraft on display,
favorites of the Collection include the North American P-51D 'Mustang,' the
Supermarine 'Spitfire' Mk. Vc, and the Republic P-47D 'Thunderbolt.' Located
at Paine Field in Everett, and set within a restored vintage hangar, the Collection
offers visitors of all ages a firsthand view of the innovative technologies
and fine lines of these iconic warriors, most of which are the last of their
kind.

Henry Art Gallery
Description
The Henry Art Gallery, a vital cultural resource on the University of Washington
campus, stands out with its cutting-edge approach to exhibitions. The Henry
engages visitors in powerful art experiences and serves as a catalyst for the
creation of new work in the visual arts. Founded in 1927, the museum's exhibitions
bring important works of art by internationally-recognized as well as by local
and Northwest artists. The Henry is committed to exhibiting contemporary works,
and to framing historical works in a contemporary context. In 2003, the Henry
opened a permanent Skyspace by artist James Turrell. The Skyspace employs light,
space, and atmosphere to create a unique visual experience. The Skyspace is

Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum
Description
High-adrenaline sports fans will enjoy the world's only museum dedicated to
powerboat racing, a popular Pacific Northwest extreme pastime. On display is
an incredible collection of vintage hydroplanes spanning seven decades, including
boats that have won seventeen Gold Cups. The museum has an extensive collection
of memorabilia-including films, trophies, books, and posters-illustrating the
stories of famous drivers, races, triumphs, and tragedies. In addition to the
hydroplane history archives, the museum is also a fully equipped boat restoration

Description
The architecturally stunning Museum of Glass: International Center for Contemporary
Art opened in downtown Tacoma in 2002. Linked to the downtown cultural corridor

Bridge of Glass, MG hosts international exhibitions and site-specific installations.

Description
Seattle's Museum of History & Industry (locals say MO-hi) presents interactive
exhibits and programs that explore Pacific Northwest history. This extremely

ages. See the first airplane built by Boeing in 1919, the record-breaking Slo-Mo-Shun

Safeco Field is the extraordinary home of the Seattle Mariners. Guests are treated
to a 19.59-acre outdoor baseball park with real grass and a retractable roof.

as the action on the field. Tour one of the premier baseball facilities ever

In 1994, after a new museum building opened in downtown Seattle, this facility
reopened as the museum's center for Asian art and activities. The Seattle Asian
Art Museum in Volunteer Park opened as the original museum facility in 1933.
The Seattle Asian Art Museum is a lively international hub for Asian art and
culture, exhibiting Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Himalayan and Southeast
Asian art. The museum's holdings rank in the top 10 outside of Asia, and its
Japanese collection is one of the top five in the United States. While the downtown
location houses the museum's other collections, it also includes examples of
its Asian art collections.

Ride the Monorail for a fun, quick, and convenient link between downtown Seattle
and Seattle Center. Traveling high above the city streets, Seattle Center Monorail
is the world's first full scale Monorail system and was orginally built for
the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. At Seattle Center visit the Space Needle, Experience
Music Project, Science Fiction Museum, Pacific Science Center, or one of the
other world class attractions near the Monorail station. Or, travel to the heart

Description
Founded in 1997, the Seattle Metropolitan Police Museum is one of the first
and finest museums of its type in the world. Casting light on a previously closed
culture, the museum displays the cultural, technological, and historical developments
of the Seattle Police and King County Sheriff's Office. View a vast array of
antique documents, photographs, weaponry, uniforms, and much more. These items
assisted police in the taming of Seattle from its violent and corrupt frontier
beginnings to what has now developed into one of the most professional law enforcement
agencies in the United States. A children's interactive area lets kids try on
police uniforms, examine a real jail cell, and use their imaginations.

Predock-designed building features framed views of Mt. Rainier and a series
of elegant galleries that wrap around an open-air interior stone garden. The

The Center for Wooden Boats
Description
The Center for Wooden Boats offers an active, engaging Seattle experience that
can't be found anywhere else. The coffee pot is always full and the classic

small craft maritime heritage. Head down to South Lake Union Park where, for
no charge, you can explore their collection of more than 100 wooden boats. Watch

Great Gallery, the history of aviation soars past with dozens of full-size aircraft
flying in formation six stories above. Sit in the cockpit of a real SR-71 Blackbird
or F/A-18 Hornet. Board America's first presidential jet, Air Force One. Climb
aboard the supersonic Concorde. Step back 95 years in the magnificently restored
Red Barn, birthplace of The Boeing Company. From kid's workshops to fly-ins

Description
