Effective June 23, 2011 - Upon online reservation, confirmation of orders will be sent via email, but bus boarding passes and KSCVC admission tickets must be picked up at the tour office in Orlando no later than 5:00 pm on July 6, 2011. The address and directions to the office will be provided on your order confirmation. NO TICKETS WILL BE DELIVERED TO ANY HOTELS OR MOTELS, TRANSMITTED ELECTRONICALLY OR DELIVERED IN ANY OTHER FASHION. No refunds or exchanges are allowed for failure to pick up your tickets and bus boarding passes from the Orlando office. We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets. For tour and tickets with validity dates, tickets will not be replaced or exchanged prior to or after the expiration date or tour date for any reason.
The following additional policies have been established for this Space Shuttle Launch tour.
--These tickets are totally NON-REFUNDABLE. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Once you receive your tickets and bus boarding pass, you own the tickets and bus boarding pass. If the launch is rescheduled, you may use them yourself, give them to someone, or sell them to another party.
--If the launch is scrubbed or postponed one day before the current scheduled launch date or on the scheduled launch date itself, there will be a $55.00 reschedule fee, payable directly to the bus company - information to be provided on your order confirmation (E-Ticket). This fee is charged because the payments for the bus transportation must be made the day before the scheduled launch date and is non-refundable; so, a rescheduled launch on the launch date or the day before would require full payment for the buses for the original date, as well as for the rescheduled date.
--If the launch is scrubbed or postponed at least two days before the current scheduled launch date, there is no reschedule fee. While guests holding their shipped bus boarding passes and KSCVC admission tickets may transfer them to another person as they wish, the pick-up locations may NOT be changed and the bus company will retain the original guest name in their records. If tickets are transferred to a different party, the new ticket owner will need to refer to the original guest name in any contacts made with the bus company.
--There will be no opportunity to reschedule for any "no-shows" on the date of the scheduled launch.
--For the launch day, if the launch has not been scrubbed or postponed, the normal policy is that there will be no Visitor Complex Admission Tickets allowed on Kennedy Space Center property and there will also be no onsite ticket sales. The only way people will get to view the launch from the property is in a pre-booked program such as this one.
--Guests will NOT have access to use their Visitor Complex Admission Tickets on launch day. Guests may use their Visitor Complex Admission Tickets on a future date (within 7 days of launch day), but must transport themselves to Kennedy Space Center.
--Tight security precautions require arrival at the Space Center a number of hours before launch. After arrival at the Space Center, there are no tours scheduled (although Kennedy Space Center may provide some special activities) and very little moving around will be allowed.
--Security is very strict; think airport-style security. The following items are NOT permitted:
Firearms of any type (with or without a permit)
Ammunition (live or spent)
Knives of any size
Box cutters or like items
Nail clippers with knife blades
Large beach type umbrellas
Any other sharp/pointed items, including pointed scissors or nail files
Coolers, luggage or other large bags
No Items will be allowed to be left on the buses and storage at KSC is not available. All bags, purses and other items will be opened and throughly inspected. Umbrella style chairs only in special carry bags; no sun chairs or folding chairs will be allowed on property.
Based on current policy - if the launch takes place, you will be issued a Visitor Complex Admission Ticket which must be used on another day (within 7 days of launch day) when you will have to provide your own transportation to Kennedy Space Center. That ticket will allow you access to all public tours at Kennedy Space Center and the Astronaut Hall of Fame, plus the IMAX Theater.
