Held once daily during lunch hours, these sessions offer an up-close and personal opportunity to share in the excitement of space exploration through the eyes and personal stories of one of NASA's best, all while enjoying a delicious meal.

An impressive roster of Astronauts have appeared since the program's inception in 2001, among them Wally Schirra, John Glenn, Jim Lovell, Gene Cernan, Walt Cunningham, Story Musgrave and Jon McBride.

You can also enjoy an IMAX® movie, look at a moon rock, visit the Astronaut Memorial, have space ice cream, and much more.

Description

This meal opportunity includes a banquet-style lunch with a speaking appearance by a real Astronaut hero. The popular program includes a fun highlight video of Astronauts living and working in space, a brief oration of the Astronaut's thoughts, and individual time with each family for Q and A and photos. The meal is topped off by a wonderful selection of desserts.

Each meal is an exclusive opportunity to rub elbows, ask questions, and take pictures with a real Space Hero! And the food is fantastic!

Seating for lunch begins at 12:15 pm.

KSC Bus Tour -- Runs approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Tours start at 10:00 am and run continuously every 15 minutes. Last tour departs at 2:50 pm.

Your full day of exploration includes real space hardware, authentic attractions, inspiring exhibits and hands-on experiences that will make KSC the highlight of your Florida vacation. See the Space Shuttle Atlantis up-close at its permanent home in the KSC Visitor Center.

The incredible accomplishments of the Apollo moon program return to life in the amazing Apollo/Saturn V Center. In back-to-back IMAX® theaters, you'll feel the thrill of space exploration on five-story screens as you "float" right alongside NASA Astronauts. On your guided tours into exclusive areas, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at KSC's working space flight facilities.

Pickup Information

You must designate on the order form your chosen pickup point from the list provided.

  • Pickups may also be arranged for your hotel in the Orlando-to-Kissimmee tourist corridor, at selected hotels in downtown Orlando, or at selected hotels in the Orlando International Airport area - for an additional fee payable the day of the tour. Details on how to arrange for these hotel pickups at additional cost will be included in your E-Ticket. There are no pickup options for Altamonte Springs, Maitland, Winter Park, or the UCF area.

What to Bring/Wear

  • In the Summer and Fall, dress light, wear sunblock, and wear comfortable shoes.
  • In the Winter and Spring, wear layered clothing.
  • Don't forget your camera!
  • No backpacks, large bags, coolers, food or weapons are allowed inside the Visitor Center.

Exclusive Bonus Meet & Greet with an Astronaut

Upon arrival at Kennedy Space Center, your tour escorts will accompany you into the Visitor Center complex and to the Astronaut Encounter theatre. Once there, you will receive a short video presentation followed by your welcome meet and greet by a NASA astronaut. The astronaut will welcome you and provide some tips and hints for ways you might best enjoy your day at KSC. Please note that this meet and greet is a value added free bonus. On rare occasions when circumstances prevent an astronaut from taking part, there is no refund.

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
