This is one of the most popular programs at the Kennedy Space Center. "Lunch with an Astronaut" gives visitors a one-of-a-kind experience to meet a member of NASA's Astronaut Corps and have their picture taken. This tour includes the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Admission Ticket.
This tour is held once daily during lunch hours. These sessions offer an up-close and personal opportunity to share in the excitement of space exploration through the eyes and personal stories of one of NASA's best. All of this while enjoying a delicious meal.
An impressive roster of Astronauts have appeared since the program's inception in 2001, among them Wally Schirra, John Glenn, Jim Lovell, Gene Cernan, Walt Cunningham, Story Musgrave and Jon McBride.

This day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex includes the Kennedy Space Center Tour of NASA's Launch Headquarters, two IMAX films, all shows and exhibits - including Space Shuttle Atlantis, and a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. The tour includes a stop at the four-story LC-39 Observation Gantry where you get a bird's eye view of the Space Shuttle launch pads and parts of the world's busiest space launch facility.
The second tour stop is the acclaimed Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you will walk beneath a massive Saturn V rocket, relive Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon, and experience the thunderous rumble of a Saturn V moon rocket lift off.
Your day continues with IMAX movie screenings of "Hubble 3D." Hubble 3D offers an inspiring and unique look into the Hubble Space Telescope’s legacy and highlights its profound impact on the way we view the universe and ourselves.
You may also enjoy the many other shows and exhibits at the Visitor Complex, including a chance to meet a real astronaut at the Astronaut Encounter Show, and enjoy the live, interactive experiences of Exploration Space: Explorers Wanted.
The day is topped off with a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame, located at the entrance to the Kennedy Space Center. This attraction features the world's largest collection of personal astronaut mementos, historic spacecraft, one-of-a-kind space legacies, and hands-on activities. You may sit in a mission control console, feel the pull of 4 Gs in the G-Force Simulator, and land a Space Shuttle.
You also have the opportunity to experience the exciting new Great Balls of Fire exhibit which shares the story of the origins of our solar system, asteroids and comets and their possible impacts and risks. Via a hands-on component you can study how scientists determine the trajectory path of such near-Earth objects. Learn about meteors, comets and asteroids, you can use interactive displays to build your own solar system, test rocks to see if they have meteorite-like properties, explore the various sizes of asteroids and comets, and explore what would happen if one were to hit your hometown. This amazing exhibit will be available through January 4, 2015.
Each Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex ticket is valid for one day of admission to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and a second day to the Astronaut Hall of Fame (second day must be used within seven days of first use).
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Operating Hours
Operating hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Visitor Complex is open every day of the year.
Astronaut Hall of Fame Operating Hours
The Astronaut Hall of Fame opens daily at 12:00 noon. The closing time varies between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm seasonally. The later closing times are during the summer and in the year-end holiday period. The Astronaut Hall of Fame is open every day of the year.
Kennedy Space Center is located on the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Canaveral - 45 minutes east of Orlando.
Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour
Runs approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Buses are wheelchair-accessible. Tours start at 10:00 am and run continuously every 15 minutes. Last tour departs as early as 2:15 pm at some times in the year. There are two stops along the way, the LC-39 Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

All of the tour buses are equipped with wheelchair-accessible lifts. You can request this service from any of the ticket agents and board buses from Gate 5. You also have the option of transferring into tour buses and picking up a wheelchair at each of the tour destinations.
Wheelchair & Stroller Rentals
Wheelchair and stroller rentals are available for purchase onsite. The cost of strollers are $5.00 (plus tax). The cost of wheelchairs are $10.00 (plus tax). You will present your rental receipt to the service agent at the wheelchair and rental booth, to pick up your rental. You will also be instructed to return your rental at the end of your visit. At tour stops, wheelchairs will be reserved for guests purchasing rentals, however, strollers will still remain available on a self-serve basis.
