This unique tour, highlighting the early days of space exploration, takes visitors to historical sites that have seldom been accessible to the public. You will enjoy a personally guided, in-depth journey through the Cape's 50-year history of space exploration.

Sites and stops include Alan Shepard's Mercury training facility at Hanger S to Launch Complexes 40/41, the sites from which the Voyager probes, Viking Mars Landers and most recently, Cassini Saturn probe were launched.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Journey back in time to the original NASA launch sites of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. Paving the way for today's space exploration, these programs spawned a number of exciting "firsts" and discoveries. You will make a very special stop at the Apollo 1 launch pad where our fallen Astronauts are commemorated.

You'll relive the launch of America's first satellite at the Air Force Space and Missile Museum. Other stops include the launch complex where Alan Shepard lifted off on America's first human spaceflight, as well as Apollo Launch Pad 34, the site of the tragic Apollo 1 fire. This guided tour concludes at the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

The tour includes a souvenir pin and information kit.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Admission Ticket Description:

This day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex includes the Kennedy Space Center Tour of NASA's Launch Headquarters, two IMAX films, all shows and exhibits, and a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. The tour includes stops at the four-story LC-39 Observation Gantry where you get a bird's eye view of the Space Shuttle launch pads and parts of the world's busiest space launch facility.

The second tour stop is the acclaimed Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you will walk beneath a massive Saturn V rocket, relive Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon, and experience the thunderous rumble of a Saturn V moon rocket lift off.

Your day continues with IMAX movie screenings of "The Dream is Alive," where you experience life in space, or "Space Station 3-D," which takes you on a virtual trip to the International Space Station in a fully immersive big-screen environment.

You may also enjoy the many other shows and exhibits at the Visitor Complex, including a chance to meet a real astronaut at the Astronaut Encounter Show, and enjoy the zany live-action show "Mad Mission to Mars 2025."

The day is topped off with a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame, located at the entrance to the Kennedy Space Center. This attraction features the world's largest collection of personal astronaut mementos, historic spacecraft, one-of-a-kind space legacies, and hands-on activities. You may site in a mission control console, take a virtual moonwalk, feel the pull of 4 Gs in the G-Force Simulator, and land a Space Shuttle.

This ticket allows you to do everything in one day or break up your Kennedy Space Center experience over two consecutive days.

Hours of Operation

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is open at 9:00 am every day of the year, except December 25 and certain launch days. Daily closing time varies during the year, but is never any earlier than 5:00 pm. The Astronaut Hall of Fame is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Kennedy Space Center is located on the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Canaveral - 45 minutes east of Orlando.

Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour

Runs approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Tours start at 10:00 am and run continuously every 15 minutes. Last tour departs as early as 2:15 pm at some times in the year. There are two stops along the way, the LC-39 Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Center.
